Ethical and Fair Trade
We’ve been championing ethical trade since 1989.
Wherever we do business, in the UK and around the world, we are committed to the highest ethical standards. We build long-term relationships with trusted Fair Trade suppliers and work with like-minded partners who share our values.
Our clothing is designed to last, using responsibly sourced natural fibres, recycled blends, and environmentally conscious processes.
All suppliers follow our Code of Conduct and maintain full transparency across production.
Most suppliers hold Sedex certification, and many are also certified by GOTS, the global standard for organic textiles.

The 10 Principles of Fair Trade
We follow the 10 Principles of Fair Trade set by the World Fair Trade Organization.
1. Opportunities for producers
98% of our collection is made in India. We support independent and family-run producers, organic farmers, and traditional crafts like handloom and Ikat.
2. Transparency & accountability
We maintain long-term supplier relationships, conduct audits, and ensure full traceability across our supply chain.
3. Fair trading practices
We provide fair timelines, prepayments, and long-term commitments to all suppliers.
4. Fair payment
Workers are paid fairly, with equal pay for men and women, and we support living wage initiatives.
5. No child or forced labour
No child labour, no forced labour, and fair working hours are strictly maintained.
6. Equality & rights
No discrimination. Workers have the right to fair employment and freedom of association.
7. Good working conditions
Safe environments, regular audits, and strict health & safety standards are maintained.
8. Capacity building
We support artisan skills, business growth, and sustainable development for our partners.
9. Promoting Fair Trade
We actively promote ethical fashion and support global Fair Trade initiatives.
10. Environmental responsibility
We use sustainable materials, reduce waste, and minimise environmental impact at every stage.
